New Chief Digital Officer Infuses Digital Strategy into Clients’ Marketing Plans

PRINCETON, NJ (May 6, 2009) – In the six months that Sharyn Rached has been at Princeton Partners, the new Chief Digital Officer has advanced client commitment to digital solutions. Rached convinced a hospital to tweet as part of its communications strategy; taught a logistics company to use an online calculator to engage prospects and generate leads; and convinced a traditional industrial manufacturer to centralize e-communications for its national network of dealers to improve customer communications.

While these tactics are breakthroughs in clients’ corporate cultures, Rached sees these initiatives as stepping stones on the way to broader implementations and success. Sharyn Rached’s focus is not on the latest or coolest tactics that companies can implement on the Web, but on the much bigger picture of how digital strategies are integral to the clients’ business strategy and marketing, communications, and PR plans -- so clients achieve their business goals.

"It’s important to shift clients’ mindsets regarding digital marketing so they think about it holistically as an integrated approach. It’s not about ‘a blog,’ or ‘the landing page,’ but the overall strategy where all the digital assets are interconnected and working together to produce success over the long term," said Rached.

Since Rached’s arrival, Princeton Partners has significantly expanded its digital capabilities to support this approach. Today the digital group’s capabilities include digital strategy, digital brand translation, content strategy, broader e-marketing, e-communications, Web development, SEO/SEM, and emerging media including social media, digital out-of-home, and mobile applications.

"Since digital and integrated strategies are still relatively new to many organizations, Sharyn’s knowledge of digital and her ability to show clients how all the pieces fit together to reach their corporate goals is tremendously valuable," said Tom Sullivan, CEO of Princeton Partners. "Her digital experience is fueling the capabilities and growth of Princeton Partners, adding to the integrated marketing expertise that our clients rely on."

With more than 14 years of experience in the digital industry, Sharyn Rached is an expert in the analysis and translation of business goals and objectives into viable and effective digital strategies. Prior to joining Princeton Partners, Sharyn was the Vice President/Director of Web Strategy and Marketing at Nelnet, Inc., an organization that provides education planning and financing to students, families, and schools in the United States.

Throughout her tenure in the industry, she has had the opportunity to work with organizations such as The Princeton Review, Brookstone, Smokey Joe’s Café, Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Peterson’s, Street Flyers, and the American Heart Association.
